Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you accept commissions?
Yes, I’m currently accepting commissions. If you’re interested in commissioning a piece, please reach out via my Contact page. Be sure to include your name, email, and a brief description of the work you have in mind. I aim to respond within a couple of days.
Q: Do you offer framing?
All artwork is sold unframed by default; however, framing can be arranged upon request. If you’re interested in purchasing a framed piece, please get in touch via my Contact page to discuss options, pricing, and shipping details.
Q: How do I access your collections before everyone else?
You can gain early access to new collections by joining my mailing list. Subscribers receive exclusive previews, early release notifications, and the opportunity to purchase new work before it’s made available to the public. It’s the best way to stay updated and collect pieces ahead of the crowd.
Q: What techniques to use?
My practice includes a range of traditional drawing and printmaking techniques. I work primarily with pencil and ink on paper, as well as in the mediums of etching and lithography.
Etching involves creating an image on a copper plate, which is then etched in acid, inked, and printed using a traditional printing press. It’s a historic process, used by masters such as Albrecht Dürer and Rembrandt, to name only a couple.
Lithography is a planographic technique where the image is drawn onto a slab of limestone using greasy materials. The surface is then chemically fixed with nitric acid and gum arabic, inked, and printed using a press. This method allows for rich tonal variation and expressive mark-making.
While printmaking allows for the creation of multiples, each print is hand-inked and pressed, making every piece unique. I value the tactile, process-driven nature of these techniques and the timeless craftsmanship they embody.
